Slow loading of form or dB call Chronoform 4.0.1 and ChronoConnectivity

profotoweb 24 Jan, 2015
Hi,

Using Chronoforms and Chronoconnectivity in order to Create Joomla Users AND register/update products.

Problem 1:
For some reason, since installing Chronoconnectivity, forms are always loading really slow. 20-30 sec

Problem 2:
The "NEW" button (see images) needs to be clicked TWICE in order to react. First click just occupies the browser for a couple of seconds, but doesn't do anything. Second click takes you to the form BUT with Problem 1, above.

Coming back after Product Registration form - with the "Back" button gives error code:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/vhosts/profoto.com/httpdocs/profoto_com/components/com_chronoconnectivity/libraries/chronoconnection.php on line 886

STEP BY STEP:

1. Login at : (with supplied credentials)
http://profoto.com/int/myprofoto-login

2. Select Register Product

3. Click the "NEW" button (Needs to be clicked twice. Wait until the browser processed first click before clicking again!)

3A. Wait 20-30 sec until the Form loads (I guess the issue is something with the database call in Chronoconnectivity)

4. Fill out the form (not needed for this test) . Click the "BACK" button

5. An ERROR is shown if DEBUG is set to MAXIMUM. Otherwise not.

Hi profotoweb,

Please try re-installing the latest version of CFv5 over the existing version. I've seen a couple of reports recently that installing CCv5 last can over-write some of the CFv5 files with older versions. I'm not certain that this will fix your problem but it will remove one possible source of problems.

Hi,

not sure I understood that correctly. :-)

So I can install Chronforms v5 and Chronoconnectivity v5 ONTOP of Chronoforms v4.0.1 and Chronoconnectivity v4... and all my forms and Chronoconnectivity config will still work?

I Installed Chronoconnectivity for test a long time ago...but it didn't overwrite v4, it created it's own Component install.

Hi profotoweb,

Sorry, My mistake, you don't need to use CFv5, I had missed the version info.

No idea why you get slow response, or need to click twice :-( I haven't seen this reported before - it sounds as though you may have a loop in your code somewhere.

The PHP Warning is harmless and is not the cause of the problem you are seeing.
