Send E-Mail fail

How to fix email sending failure after updating ChronoForms.

Overview

The issue occurs because the SMTP setting in CF is not enabled after an update, even though Joomla is configured to use Gmail SMTP.
Enable the SMTP option in the CF settings page to restore email functionality.

Today i updated CFv5 Component, installed TCPDF and when i was trying to send an e-mail, o got this message:

Exim is a Mail Transfer Agent. It is normally called by Mail User Agents,
not directly from a shell command line. Options and/or arguments control
what it does when called. For a list of options, see the Exim documentation.

I didn't figured it out what whas the real problem.

My Joomla is configured to send e-mail by Google Gmail SMTP and before i update CFv5, it was working fine.

Explaining better...

That message i got from tail -f /var/log/apache2/error.log

At Joomla front-end i got just

Mailer Error: Could not instantiate mail function.

Hi Austre,

Did you enable the SMTP under the CFv5 "Settings" page before ? if not then please check that ?
