Modal-backdrop covers the admin when editing a form

I keep getting an error where the modal-backdrop will appear and cover the admin when opening a form to edit it.

Anybody have ideas as to why this would happen?

You do see this and a spinning 'loader gif' while the form loads but it should clear when the load is complete. If it isn't clearing then there is probably a JavaScript error on the page :-(
