no editor buttons in Text Area field

Hello,

I have placed a Text Area in my form and want to enable a WYSYWIG editor with editing buttons. The data appears however there are no buttons even though I enabled the Editor buttons checkbox. So I can edit in a basic way but I would like my users tio have full editing capability.

Is there something I have missed on doing?

I should have added this site has the JCE editor enabled.

The editor works fine in the Header (Formatted Text) field.

Hi tshirley,

My memory of of this is that CFv4 uses TinyMCE in the back-end and the currently configured site rich text editor in the front-end. It may be possible to use JavaScript to over-ride the default settings.

I have addressed this by switching the default editor to TinyMCE.
