Dear Support,
I need to create a pdf from a form result. I downloaded TCPDF action for Chronoforms V4 because it is the only available version but when I tried to installed it throught the "Install Action" I got the error:
Notice: Undefined variable: session in C:\Archivos de programa\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\administrator\components\com_chronoforms5\chronoforms\chronoforms.php on line 453 Fatal error: Call to a member function setFlash() on a non-object in C:\Archivos de programa\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\administrator\components\com_chronoforms5\chronoforms\chronoforms.php on line 453
Maybe the problem is this version is for Chronofomrs 4 and I'm using Chronoforms 5 but I'm not sure.
Could you help me to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance.
Sincerely,
Milton
Hi Milton,
Yes that is exactly the problem. The structure of actions for CFv5 look to me to be very different to those for CFv4. I haven't yet worked out how to create one - needs several hours with a cold towel round my head I suspect :-(
Bob
Hi Milton, Bob,
The error is actually caused by a bug in the latest release, the action would work fine after the error though if it was a v5 action!🙂
Unfortunately the TCPDF action is not yet v5 ready, the main differences are in the config section, no other major changes would be needed, just few minor stuff!

Hi Max, Bob,
Thank you for your help. I appreciate it so much. Is there a workaround to solve this problem? If I got your reply the problem is just the installation. Probably, if I follow a step by step I could setup the tcpdf component.
Thanks in advance,
Sincerely,
Milton
Hi Milton,
A new action will be needed for v5, please send me a message using the contact us page and I will try to prepare it for you soon enough.

Hi Max,
I downloaded the “TCPDF action for Chronoforms V5”. It’s a file named “tcpdf.zip” whose size is about 400 KB. I tried to installed throught the "Install Action" but I got same error.
Notice: Undefined variable: session in C:\Archivos de programa\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\administrator\components\com_chronoforms5\chronoforms\chronoforms.php on line 453 Fatal error: Call to a member function setFlash() on a non-object in C:\Archivos de programa\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\administrator\components\com_chronoforms5\chronoforms\chronoforms.php on line 453
I appreciate so much your help.
Thanks in advance.
Sincerely,
Milton
Hi Milton,
The error is a bug in the current CF version, but the action should still be installed fine, you can check it under the "Data management" section in the setup!
