Form stopped sending e-mails

insightcreative 28 Mar, 2014
Hi

I've had chronoforms working on a site for about a year but I've just noticed that the forms are no longer being sent.

I have made all sorts of changes to the site so it's almost certainly something I've done.

The odd thing is that it works when you do a test form from the back end but not from the front end.

I've got a component called 'Joomla Watch' on the site and I can see where a user has submitted an enquiry. I can see the form contents from that so if I'm lucky I'll see it and be able to respond. If it's not within the visible history then I lose it and can't even see that a form has been submitted.

The page in question is here:

Answer
Hi Andy,

The form is included in this page using the "Chronoforms plugin" ? if yes then maybe you have enabled the website cache, which caches the article, including its contents (the form), and the form doesn't submit correctly.

Please disable the cache OR sett he "Relative url" setting to "no" under the form "Edit" page. (click the form's name under the forms manager)

Max

Did you try ChronoMyAdmin for managing your Joomla database tables ?

Tada! Yep, that's done the trick. The weird thing is that I don't think I turned the cache on. I tend not to mess with anything like that. However, I've noticed lately that content on the site keeps sticking and I have to manually clear the cache to get pages to update. I've installed Joomla lots of times and have never had this before.

Anyway, you found the problem and I'm very happy!

Andy
