Best way to reset a form when the user presses back?

Prevent duplicate form submissions when users navigate back in their browser.

Overview

The issue occurs because the browser retains the filled form data after submission, allowing users to resubmit by pressing the back button.
Use the Anti-Flood [GH] action in ChronoForms to block accidental re-submissions and ensure the form resets appropriately.

Hello,

I was wondering what the best way is to reset a form after one is submitted.

Actually, I have a form where after the user presses the submit button, he/she gets a thank you page and that's it.

Of course, when you press the back button in your browser, by default you get back to the form you just filled out and could actually just submit it again.

My form is in the advanced mode btw.

Thank you in advance for your input.

Kind regards,
Matten.

Hi Matten,

What exactly is the problem that you want to solve here?

Hi Bob,
Well As it is now, the user fills out the form and after having submitted it, he gets to a thank you message. So far so good and my guess is most of the time that's about it. However, when you hit the back button in your browser, one gets back to the already filled out form where you can then just hit submit again et voila, another form submitted in the blink of an eye.
And that is what I am looking to avoid in the best possible way.

Hope it makes sense🙂
