Chronoforms v5 Integration to PayPal

This post is specific to Chronoforms v5

I've had a look through the forums and searched on Google for any information for integration to PayPal using ChronoForms (v5) with little success. All posts I was able to find are referencing older versions (v3/v4).

Are you able to provide or link any documentation such a task? I realize that v5 is still being worked on and that this may be coming later.

In case such documentation is not yet available, could you provide the general context of how I could accomplish the integration? I know PayPal has a lot of documentation explaining the process that I can use for reference. I am more interested in the specifics of implementation for v5.

Here is a brief description of the form in question:

This is a Donation Form that will capture some personal info (name, email, address, etc) and some donation info (amount + message). Ideally I would like to pass some of the form field values to PayPal to better the user experience (not having to re-type). The form would also save the form field values to a table, as well as the PayPal transaction id and amount paid (reconciliation purposes).

Your assistance in this matter is appreciated. I will also make a point to update this post to help anyone else out.

Hi Wayne,

For a simple donation I'd probably do it using either a PayPal hosted button included in a thank you page; or I'd use a Custom Code action to build a PayPal URL and redirect the user.

Yesterday's release of CFv5RC3 includes some more actions including Trial versions of two PayPal actions but I suspect that you don't need these to handle a donation. There's also a ReDirect section but at first sight I don't see how to add a dynamic URL to it.
