Chronoforms - Does not save, Setup Options disapper

Am trying out the chronoforms for creating a database... to be populated using the form in the frontend. After installing and creating the form (about 10 to 12 fields later) the form setup just breaks and following issues happen,
a. The form saves all fields (I can preview the created fields in the setup page) but the remaining settings (like db save, html display, email etc.) just vanish. They become blank and even if I manually add them - they refuse to save.
b. The setup option page just does not show anything (see attached image)
c. Even if I add the dbase save option that option automatically gets deleted after I save the form.

It works fine till it is about 7 to 8 fields long - after that suddenly the form setup breaks and I start having the above problems.

I have tried using the simple method, advanced method to create forms. I have read through posts and added the
max_input_vars = 3000
suhosin.post.max_vars = 3000
suhosin.request.max_vars = 3000 settings into the php.ini file - but it just does not work.

Am running Joomla 3.2.1, PHP 5.4.22 and Chronoforms V5 RC2.1

Ok... the saving of the forms is working now. I realized that the max_input_vars statement was commented out by a ; and I was trying to change only the number seeing that the statement was already there in the php.ini - so that issue sorted out.

The second part of the Setup options disappering in the simple view still remains. In advanced view it shows the advanced view and has started to retain the changes done. But in the simple view the page is completely blank yet. I can continue working on it irrespective of this - the workaround being using the advanced view always. I'm comfortable doing that.

Am a little worried that something went wrong during installation etc - so have reinstalled joomla as well as chronoforms again. Still same issue. Am gonna trial it before pushing it off the development site to the production site.

I must say its a beautiful component. However documentation is sorely missing... many options and settings in every field are unknown and there is no one place where it explains what each one of those options mean. FAQs don't help with all options. Would be nice if it could be compiled together at one place (wiki sort of).

V5 basics are just like V4, so you will most probably find the answers to your questions in the FAQs section, but new docs are planned for V5 as soon as possible!

Regarding the problem, I think that if you start a new form with simple setup now then it should work fine, or it still has the same issue while the advanced setup works ?

Max - if you need any help in putting the documentation together I can do my bit. Let me know. Maybe put them together as a pdf or something.

On this install the simple mode still is blank - but advanced is working. I am not much bothered with it - but am wondering if I have broken CF somehow as DB Multi Read / DB Display options are not visible. Does not bother me much. I tried installing it elsewhere - on another domain - and it shows in the simple mode perfectly. So am sure that this installation I am working on has broken somehow...

Thanks for your offer, if you can contribute a written tutorial (in any format) or a quick video then this should be a great help of course!🙂

The setup glitch was found and fixed in the latest release, please update and it should be fine!
