Hi,

I am a total newbie to javascipt and am just trying to get my head around it. At the moment it is just spinning!

What I would like is to have a simple dropdown which has 4 options. Depending on which option is selected I would like to have one of 4 divs to show (the rest being hidden to begin with) The divs hold between 2 and 4 textbox's so makes sense to show hide by DIV's.

The previous software I have used allowed conditional formatting which added the required code to show/hide fields etc. It was convoluted but worked, I have moved to chronoforms now for the added flexibility it provides.

I shall be very gratefull for any assistance that can be provided.

Hi Dave,

In Chronoforms V4, you have to add the function code which can do the show/hide switching, you can find an example on our FAQs page.

You may also search google for that but make sure that you use "mootools" code, just search for "mootools show hide element".

Alternatively, you may contact me and try Chronoforms V5 beta which has this feature (for wizard built forms) but doesn't have all the actions list available yet, only the basic stuff, and it has a slightly different interface.

I'm trying to use V5 and I have some problem to show/hide fields using Events on a Checkbox Group. Could you please help me ? I searched on Google before asking you but didn't find any help.

What's the problem exactly ? you simply select the function and insert the field id to be shown/hidden!

- And how to show it after a clic on an item of a Checkbox group ?

Please see this FAQ, it's for CFv4 but can probably be used of CFv5 as well.
