WYSIWYG editor

When using the WYSIWYG editor on a text area field. How you save this data from this field to a data table as text and not the HTML code and not all the php tags with it?

I guess either: you don't use the WYSIWYG editor - if you are going to strip the HTML anyhow there isn't much point. Or you filter the result to remove the tags. You can do this in a Custom Code action using the Joomla!/PHP sanitizer functions.
