Warning in chronoforms

cerberus478 23 May, 2013
Hi on my localhost I have php 5.4, Joomla 1.5.18 and I'm using chronoforms 3.1.

The problem I'm having is that I'm getting a warning and I would like to fix it.

Warning: Creating default object from empty value in C:\wamp\www\decadents\administrator\components\com_chronocontact\admin.chronocontact.html.php on line 4240

The errors are off in the php.ini and on the backend of joomla.

Hi cerebus478,

That is an incredibly old version of ChronoForms - and No the errors aren't off or you wouldn't see the message.

Is there any other way to switch the errors off because error reporting in joomla is selected to none and in my php.ini I have display_error = off

Hi cerberus478,

It may be that your site is using a different php.ini file as Errors clearly aren’t off. Check the System Info tab in the Site Admin for the settings in use.

It says that the errors are on. I don't know if I need to make a new post for this question but how do you upgrade chronoform?

I tried to install the new one after uninstalling the old one and I got errors on my front end. I'm not sure if I was suppose to do something different.

Hi cerberus478,

I'm pretty certain that for that version you had to uninstall and reinstall.

Which version have you installed? And what errors do you see?

I get these errors

Warning: require_once(C:\wamp\www\e-intelligence\components\com_chronocontact\libraries\chronoform.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\wamp\www\e-intelligence\plugins\content\chronocontact.php on line 10

The other issue I had was that I couldn't install the backup that I made of my forms to the chronoforms 4

Hi cerebus478,

Have you updated the ChronoForms plugin to the matching version? And the module too if you have it installed.

I did that right now. Now I can't restore any of the backup forms that I made. I tried and I got some more errors.

Hi cerebus278,

I'm not sure exactly what has happened but it looks as though you have now installed ChronoForms v4 instead of upgrading the latest version of CFv3. ChronoForms v4 is very different any you won't be able to restore ChronoForms 3.1 files into it.
