Hi there,

I see some posts about this problem but i am not able to figure out what i shoud do.

Using filezilla is changed chmod of the upload directory to 777.. however, the error messag (see title) says it could not create upload directory. What is the solution .. and by the way how do i find the correct absolute path?

I am using joomla 2.5.9 and chronocontacts

with path /public_html/tmp/chronoforms

and files config: naam;email;telefoon (only want to store the attributes)

Please help me out.

Hi dm,

Are you using ChronoContact or ChronoForms? There are two different products.

If it is ChronoForms then setting /components/com_chronoforms/uploads to 644 should make that writeable, but the Joomla! user (or the FTP user if FTP is enabled on your Joomla! site) has to have permission to create a new folder for your form unless you do that manually.

Hi there,

I am using both but started with contact... i have temporary made chmod 777 for the temp folder. I made a new folder by FTP but never the less i got the message.. "could not create" i should think if the folder is there, their is nothing to create.. so whats going wrong?

Hi DM,

I'm sorry but I have no way of knowing how the permissions are working on your site. I just know that with the correct permissions set uploading files works OK.
