Unable to view forms?

BigMistake 30 Mar, 2013
Hi everbody,

I'm having a problem viewing/testing forms. I recently created a new Joomla website running 3.x instead of 2.x. I backed up my forms created in Joomla 2.x and restored them in the new site. They all imported without errors, and when I edit them they all come out clean and exactly as they were. However, if I try to test the form, or access it via my website (after having linked a form through a menu item), I get the following error:

"
Fatal error: Class 'JPane' not found in /home/wasteland/domains/wastelandmarket.com/public_html/administrator/components/com_chronoforms/form_actions/show_html/cfaction_show_html.php(142) : eval()'d code on line 5"

I have checked my inputs for any special characters (only used lowercase letters and an _ underscore) and debug shows me pretty much nothing:

"Data Array:
Array
(
[option] => com_chronoforms
[tmpl] => component
[chronoform] => Faction
)
Validation Errors:
Array
(
)
"

These forms haven't had tables made, lack a submit button, etc. The only thing that's supposed to happen is on "On Load" Style Form and Show HTML. That's it. I'm quite confused by this sudden bug, and I'd hate to have to go back to the older Joomla version to get it working again so any help is appreciated.

My website with the form: http://www.wastelandmarket.com/ , click on "Faction".

Hi BigMistake,

This is a known bug in the Joomla! 3.0 version. Joomla changed the code used for tabs and sliders and, so far, Max hasn't updated the ChronoForms code to use the new version.

The simplest workaround is to temporarily change the container settings to Fieldsets which will still work. Not ideal I know.

Otherwise it is possible to manually add the Joomla 3.0 tabs and sliders code; or, I guess, to hack the ChronoForms code (I haven't tried that).

I'll do the containers workaround then. Thanks for your quick reply and the software, I've had a lot of fun fiddling around with it!

Edit: Felt very silly for a minute because it didn't work, but apparently Panes also work as tabs or sliders. It works now though, thanks again.

Hello all!

I am running into this today, and just wondered if there is any kind of timeframe on getting the new code implemented?

Thanks!!
Rick
