event registration system?

Hi guys,

I want to create a fairly standard event registration system using chronoforms. Im fairly new to this so I figured it would be worth asking if chronoforms is capable of the following functions before I have a go:

1. User1 from group 1 sets up a calendar event (telephone chat) on a form and assigns a user in group B from a drop down list (lets call them user2). upon form submission, an email confirmation is set to user1 and user2 with details of the event and is stored in user1 and user2's frontend account.
2. User2 (in Group B) logs in to the front end to view events assigned to them with no edit/add functions.
3. Once the telephone chat is over, user 1 logs in and can click on a link on the form which directs them to another form this time giving a report of the chat. This information is then sent out to User2 and is also stored in user2's user account.
4. User1 and user2 both need to see a record of thier correspondance with one another from their own account.

This might be a bit more complex than I think it is, but if anyone can point me in the right direction or maybe a tutorial I'd be really grateful? that is assuming chronoforms has this capability?

Note: I'm using chronoforms v4 and J3.0

Hi johnclick,

As far as I understand it that is all possible with ChronoForms (and maybe ChronoConnectivity for the listings).

I think that the answer is to build it step by step. At first put the minimum key inputs in each form to save time and to keep the process simple. You can always come back and add more inputs later.

Start with the first form and it's emails, then add a listing of form results using the DB Record Loader action in a second form, . . .
