Help in Publishing my Form in homepage

AYSMAN 03 Oct, 2012
Hi,

I have modified my chronoform to be an Online Booking Form for a Hotel. Can anyone help me how to publish it in my home page to automatically show in a module NOT in a link or a separate page. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

Hi!
Sorry I'm new at this. Now I've installed the Module. But when I try to publish it in Module Manager: Module mod_chronoforms, There is no option where I can type in the form name that I want to publish. the "basic_option" panel on the right side of the screen does not show. What did I do wrong?
GreyHead 04 Oct, 2012
Hi AYSMAN,

If you click the Basic Options header it should open to show you a Form Name box.

Hi AYSMAN,

The 'Description' on your module comes from the Joomla! 1.5 version of the module but it looks as though your site is running Joomla! 2.5.

Please uninstall this version and re-install the Joomla! 2.5 version of the ChronoForms module. You can get it here

Thank you sir for that prompt reply.

Now how do I configure my form to clear all the fields once submitted and each time i refresh the page it sends the same info to the recipients email. How can I fix this?
GreyHead 05 Oct, 2012
Hi Aysman,

Don't refresh the page - reload the form for testing.

This isn't usually a problem for normal users. If it is then you can use my Anti Flood [GH] action to block repeated submissions.

Ok thanks. But is there an action to clear the fields after a successful submission?
GreyHead 06 Oct, 2012
Hi AYSMAN,

Normally the fields are clear when you re-load a form page. How are you re-loading it?

Bob

well actually after clicking the submit button and confirming that it had successfully sent an email, the form does not automatically clear the fields and the info I typed-in are still there. I'm guessing im missing something in the actions field.
GreyHead 06 Oct, 2012
Hi AYSMAN,

Normally ChronoForms shows an empty page after the form is submitted - or a Thank You page if you have defined one; or it redirects to a page you have set. It doesn’t usually redisplay the form.

So, how are you re-loading / re-displaying the form?

Actually the site is still under construction you need an admin account to see the page. I can PM you the link with the admin account if you want. Thanks
GreyHead 17 Oct, 2012
Hi AYSMAN,

By all means email or PM me the site URL and a SuperAdmin login and I'll take a quick look.

Hi AYSMAN,

There was a problem with the SEF URLs, I've changed the Relative URLs setting on the Form General tab to No and it now submits correctly.

Bob

Thanks. But does the changes you've made affect anything in my database? cause I cant access may website anymore. This just shows "Database connection error (2): Could not connect to MySQL.".

I've tried contacting my Host they said my server is running.
tried pinging it and it does run. I just cant access it.
GreyHead 18 Oct, 2012
Hi AYSMAN,

AS far as I remember the only change I made was to the Relative URL setting. This has no effect at all on the Database or the Database connection. In my experience this message is usually a sign of an overloaded shared server.

Thanks so much. Solved it. Somehow when the relative URL is set to YES my broadband IP does not load the page.
GreyHead 18 Oct, 2012
Hi AYSMAN,

Oh - I've not seen that before. Maybe they cache pages somewhere to speedup download times.

Bob

Maybe, but that doesn't matter. It still loads when Im using my other ISP. Thanks so much.
