Creating a Free Quote Form

avansledright 29 Sep, 2012
I work for a Cell Phone repair shop called Genius Phone Repair. We are in the process of rebuilding our entire website.

Part of our website is a free quote section. Ideally the user will put in their name, email address, and phone number. From there I want the user to select the manufacturer of their phone, then the type of phone, and then the exact model. For instance. The user has an iPhone 4S. They will start by choosing Apple as their manufacturer, iPhone as their device type, and then iPhone 4S. Following that there will be a box where they can type out their problem.

I was following the guide for a simple double drop down form but I cant seem to get it to function properly. You can see the start of it here: http://www.45squared.com/gpr/index.php?option=com_chronoforms&tmpl=component&chronoform=freequoute

If someone could please assist me in getting this thing working that would be great!

Hi avansledright ,

At first sight this looks like a problem with JQuery. I suggest that you test the form with a default Joomla! template at least while you develop it. That will remove this particular cause.

Max has a beta version of ChronoForms that should work around JQuery problems. If that is the cause you can ask him for a copy using the Contact Use link above.
