Export old chronoform and import to v4?

LAMF 06 Sep, 2012
I am migrating a Joomla 1.5 site to Joomla 2.5 and on the old site I have Chronoforms V3 forms.
I have now moved over all forms except from one... The onne I haven't moved is an order form with
like 5 columns and 15 rows + a contactform with about 10 dfferent fields etc.
I have made a backup of the old form and I would like to import it or somehow move it to the new Chronoforms component on teh new site. Is that possible? 😶
It would save me a day of work at least. I don't know how to make a form in a table in the new version so that's also why I would like to import the old one if possible. 😲

I have started to work on this form anyway and when I have added 5 columns and 8 rows and a radio box I cant add anything more. Is there a limitation how many fields you can add to a form?
The way I have set it up is to "Start a multi field row" on the first field and add 4 more fields to that row by "Add to a Multi field row", then on a new line by adding the "Start a multi field row" to the first filed of next line etc.
I don't know if this is a good practise but to me it looks logic even if the form doesn't look like what I want. It seems like it's just adding all fields in a long line after each other even though I have set every fifth field to "Start a multi field row".
Then under this "order form" I want the ability to set up Name and adress fields so the customer can add his information and submit it all.
In the old form all this is properly set up so i guess it has to be possible with this new form and new Chronoforms version as well.
problem is I'm stuck...

Hi,

Building custom forms is better done using custom HTML code, please use any HTML editor to build your form then copy and paste the code a new custom chronoform, that would be the fastest way.

After that you need to go to the wizard and add the "Show HTML" action along with any other features you may need.

Thanks a lot, feels stupid I haven't learned this before. 😀

Hi LAMF,

There's a FAQ here on adding Custom HTML. I prefer to use the Custom Code action in the Wizard rather than the full Custom Code form but either will work.
