form doesn't show up

rob123 30 Jul, 2012
Hi,
I would like to show a chronoform in a joomla custom html module.
and used this codeline in the text area of the module: {chronocontact}myformname{/chronocontact}
but the form does not show up in the module. only the codeline {chronocontact etc is visible.
The form does show up when I use it in a ordinary article in Joomla.
What can be the solution for this.?

Thanks,
Rob

Did you checked the events in your forms ?

Hi Rob,

Please download and install the ChronoForms module from the Downloads area here.

Bob

PS In general you can't use Joomla! plug-in shortcuts in a module.

thanks both for reply!

Yes, I checked my events. there is a green border around the event field so everything is oke.
Also the form works in an ordinary article.

I've downloaded the special module but that is not what I want. I want to do some editinwith text and a picture in the Htmlmodule of Joomla and place the form in there.
It can be done (in the past) see this post: http://www.chronoengine.com/forums/index.php?option=com_chronoforums&cont=posts&f=9&t=63454

Hi Rob,

Why not add the picture and text to the Form HTML?

Bob, see: http://www.proef.opensourcesoftwarecursussen.nl/ and scroll a littlebit down
I have now used the downloaded module and put text in it but the text doesn't line out correct
with the page text below the module.
Everything must line out with the "powered by chronoform" that sentence lines out correct.
It is not clear to me how I can fix this.
Also i can't find how to put a picture in the form...

Hi rob123,

The link requires a login so I can't see the form.

You can add an image with an HTML image tag in a Custom Element element from the Advanced group.

I have now made the site accesible so you can see what I mean in the previous post
Can't find the custum element element. I see only the wizard custum elements and in that the word placeholder

Hi rob123,

Sorry, I'd forgotten that you are using CFv3. You can edit the Form HTML on the Form Code tab to add an image tag.

For the alignment you just need a little CSS - also on the form code tab.

ah, the image shows it can be done! I found the code tab but when I click on CSS I get an empty square with no code in there.
however I don't know anything of CSS. Can you tell me the secret (code) what I have to put in for the outlining?

Hi rob-123,

Please try:
div.form_element {
  margin-left:0;
}
