I searched the forums for this but did not find any reference, so I apologize in advance if there is one that I overlooked.
My question is this: Instead of sending the form as an email itself, is it possible to have the form as an attachment instead.
I ask this because; when the email is printed, it also prints the email header such as the from, to and subject lines. What I would really like is to have the form as attachment that can be opned and then printed.
Is this this possible.
Thanks
Hi J.C.M.,
There are a couple of possible solutions to this.
There is a beta version of a PDF action for ChronoForms that lets you put the form results into a PDF - it's a very large extension as it includes a full PDF library and it takes some work to set up the PDF. You can get this by asking Max for a copy using the Contact Us link above.
You can also use a Custom Code action to build an HTML version of your form output and save this as a .doc or .docx file that can be opened in Word.

Hello Bob, Thanks for this great site.
I just have a question that is somewhat related to the previous question. How can I use the custom code action that you refer to? Does it exist somewhere already?
Hello,
I am also interested in the possibility of sending data form as attachment to a mail.
Can you tell me if the latest version of chronoform supports this feature?
Thyank you in advance for your answer.
Seen you soon
Hi pelucre,
Not built-in to the released version. Max has a beta version of a PDF action that you can ask him for using the Contact Us link above (it works OK but is very big so not included in the distribution package). It takes some coding but you can build a PDF save it then attach it to your email.
You could also save an HTML version of the form results as either an HTML document or as a Word document and attach that.
The PDF version is, of course, a more universal format and may be better.
Bob
Thank you for your answer, I'll ask Max to use it.
