[SOLVED] Captcha and V4_RC3.4.1_J1.5

Hi Bob,

Installed the new V4 version on my Joomla 1.5 install (still 1.5, yes...)
Will upgrade tentatively to 2.5 later this year but am currently running into a captcha question:

captcha displays ok BUT the first attempt to enter the code always fails and I am SURE that I'm typing the right code. Once the form is redisplayed, I enter the new code and this one ALWAYS work....

Am I missing anything here, or is this some kind of "uncommented feature"?😀

Can you pls let me know where to look for a fix? Can send you the link to the form if need be.

Hi Philippe,

It's not a feature and not a common problem. It sounds as though there is something odd with the page caching - but I can't think what.

Please drag a Debugger action into the On Submit event, then submit the form and check if the correct Captcha value is being submitted - it should be.

Hi Bob,

Tried the debugger option from home as you said and form was submitted successfully the first time...
It failed on my work laptop. I guess you're right and it's got to do with some weird caching issue...Will investigate this later but in any case, this is solved and pls accept my apologies for inconvenience.. 😟
