Dynamic Name and Reply To?

DrDigital 20 May, 2012
I got a form, when I click reply to it, its got my email. I have spent 3 days trying to figure out how to get the dynamic area working.

Field name is 'name' and Field name for email is 'email' I've tried {email} and email... I cant seem to get the reply to give me the users email they entered into the form.

Hi DrDigital,

You need to add name and email (no brackets or quotes) in the Reply To Name and Reply To Email boxes on the Dynamic tab for the Email action.

BUT there are some Joomla! oddities/bugs with the handling of the Reply To Email where the site admin name is added as a ReplyTo address regardless of what is specified by ChronoForms. I think that this is now fixed in my Email [GH] action (i.e. I found a way round it) but is still a problem with the standard action.

If you use the Email [GH] action it doesn't have separate Static and Dynamic tabs, dynamic values use curly brackets e.g. {input_name} static values use plain strings with no brackets e.g. user@example.com

Hello...
I do have this problem to...
I have named the email-field to Epost (swedish).
Then i do fill in the required fields in Static and i write Epost in the dynamic email. But i cant get it to work.
As soon as i hit reply i do get the static emailadress and not the dynamic.... I would like to get the senders email directly so when i hit reply in my mailclient, it will reply to the senders email.

I hope you understand what i mean...

Best regards

Peter
