Hi. i have a few questions about chrono forms.
1. I have created some forms, applied validation, tested them etc and all is good. I like the fading in error msgs by the way!
However, i have then created a slighly more complex form.

I have applied the same validation yet nothing seems to happen. I am assuming this is because there is no room for the error msgs to appear. So is there anything i can do about this? Is there any way of making all of the error msgs appear at the top of the page or something similar?
2. Is chronoforms likely to feature mutli-language support at some point in the near future? I really need this feature! I have the M17 multi-language selector installed. is there anyway to ingergrate this into chronoforms? Im guessing not!
3. My page doesnt validate with w3c validator.
There are error msgs that appear to be related to the links generated by chronoforms. i.e
Line 198, Column 790: cannot generate system identifier for general entity "chronoformname".
…8/index.php?option=com_chronocontact&chronoformname=feedback&Itemid=87" c
4.I still cannot get the SEF URL's to work with chronoforms. Has anyone experienced similar? I installed chronoforms before i switched SEF URL's on. Could this be the problem?
So.. If i decide to uninstall then reinstall chronoforms with SEF URL's turned on, is it simple to back-up the forms and re-insert them after?
Your help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
Thanks.

Hi glens1234,
There appears to be a Javascript problem on the page connected to the SWFObject code - "SWFObject is not defined". I suggest that you turn this off and see if the validation then works.
I don't think Max has any immediate plans for multi-language support (partly because there isn't much language in the ChronoForms front end). I imagine that it would be possible to pull the error messages out of the Javascript file and do something with them - but I don't know what😟
The validation problem appears to be in the link in your page footer not directly from ChronoForms. (The links in the Form Manager don't use entities so I guess that you copied this.)
I don't know what the problem with SEF URLs is?? Can you say a bit more? I don't think that the installation sequence would affect this.

Hi.
I had a look at the footer code as you said. I took out http://localhost:8888/ from the begining of the link.
No validation issues anymore! whey!!
However, although i didnt mention this before...
I have to copy and paste the links to the forms when linking from a menu, as the internal linking to chronoforms doesnt seem to work. I try it and when i click on the link it goes to a blank page!
As for the SEF URL's...
When i turn SEF URL's on the chronoforms links stop working!
I can't figure out why this is!
I see what you are saying about the multilanguage support. I want my forms to be in different languages. However, I guess this is a joomla issue not a chronoforms issue.
I just installed the swfobject code and havent yet managed to get it to work. However, the validation works fine on other pages with this code on the page.
Im guessing the problem is becuase there is nowhere for the javscipt to display the msg. i.e the form element are in small boxes with fixed heights/widths etc.
I guess ill have to do some sort of php validation.
Thanks again for your help bob!
