Which Chronoforms/Chronoconnectivity version to use?

Teodori 16 Mar, 2012
Hi all,
I'm evaluating new versions of chronoforms/chronoconnectivity, and I like both very much: however I'm not sure they're completely stable, so I was guessing which is the suggested version to use.
I'm working on a website developed in joomla 1.5.22: what I need to realize is a form to collect data. The collected data must be viewed/searched/modified ONLY by the user that inserted them. I'd also want to allow every user to export in .xsl the complete list of his records or the records resulting from a query.
What do you think, which version of the components I need?
Thank you all!

Hi Teodori,

To collect the data you can use either version of ChronoForms on Joomla! 1.5.25. ChronoForms v3 requires the MooTools upgrade plug-in disabled; CFv4 requires it enabled.

To list the data you can use ChronoConnectivity v2

BUT . . . Joomla! 1.5 is only a few weeks from 'end of life' and if this is a new site you might be better using Joomla! 2.5 when you would need ChronoForms v4 and ChronoConnectivity v4

Hi Bob,
thank you for your rich answer. I'll try to understand which solution is better for my needs.
