Is table name correct?

mcgeo 27 Feb, 2012
Greetings, I am a new user of chronoforms. I have recently installed it in an installation of Joomla 2.5.

Usually, Joomla database tables have the prefix jos_.

Since installing Chronoforms, I noticed a new table in my database titled #_data_ContactForm. This table has Chronoform data in it.

Is this title correct, or should it be titled jos_data_ContactForm?

Hi mcgeo,

I think that this is probably an error. The title should be jos_data_ContactForm but it should probably have something else in the name to identify what data it is - if it is empty then you can probably delete it.

The prefix '#_' is used in Joomla! code as a 'placeholder' for the actual prefix - 'jos' in your case though it can be something else (and in Joomla! 2.5 is a random string set for the site).

Using the placeholder names in code are like #__data_ContactForm - with two underlines after the #__

Thanks for you're quick response.

The table appears to be related to verification. Two of the values in the table are "marketing_survey" and "chrono_verification." If I delete the table instead of renaming it, I may not be able to verify my installation?

Still wondering - to delete the table or to rename it, and if I rename it, what should the name be?

Hi mcgeo,

Looks like rubbish to me - from a ChronoForms point of view. CF doesn't use 'marketing_survey' so tha tmust be some user data and 'chrono_verification' is the captcha code which there is no point in saving. If in doubt take a backup first.
