Hello,

I'm working on a Joomla 1.5 > 2.5 Migration. I have installed Chronoforms V4. I tried to import the old form, but it did not work that way, it seems to be the wrong file-format: formular.cfbak.

Them I tried it by creating a new form and copying the html into the HTML code-window, that did not work ether, the form is not showing. This is the forms code:

It is quite a complex form I would like to avoid having to redo it from scratch.

Hi Nicola,

You probably need to drag a Show HTML action into the On Load event of your form. Please see the video 'A First Form' at http://youtube.com/greyheadnet

There is no automatic upgrade from ChronoForm v3 to v4 :-(

Youc an copy and paste over chunks of code but they will probably need to be partially re-worked to work with CFv4.

I can't drag a Show HTML, as the Form does not appear in the wizard. I copied the forms code to the the HTML code-window.

How do I have to rework the code?

I did find the Wizar edit now. but all I get is the on-Submit-Message, but not the form.

If your form HTML is not workiing with either Wizard it sounds as though the code is broken somehow. Please take a Form Backup using the icon in the Forms Manager and post it here (as a zipped file) or PM or email it to me and I'll take a closer look.

Hi Nicola,

Great - good to hear that you have it working. If this happens again try using the Frontend view link from the Forms Manager as this removes any problems with menus or plug-ins and hels identify where the problem is.

But sorry, another probably dull question: where can I put the email adresses the form data has to be sent to? I cannot find them in the new chronoforms...

Hi Nicola,

There are a series of videos here that will help you get started with CFv4. The videos show the Advanced Wizard - the screen layout in the Easy Wizard is different but the settings are the same.

Thanks, I finally found it in the Wizard edit > Events > Core Actions > Email > Element Settings > Static (for anybody having the same problem)

It is well hidden there, isn't it? It was more obvious located in the former version in the general settings.

But the wizard is a great improvement for users without html-skills.

Personally I recommend that you forget the Easy Wizard as soon as you can. There is much less clutter in the Advanced Wizard simple because the Easy Wizard is 'one with everything'.
