CF v4 RC3.0 new Form App admin action not working

rsearle 30 Dec, 2011
I have lots of forms in my apps and CF provides no way to sort, filter or categorise them, to make it easier to navigate through them. I thought the new Form App setting under Admin actions would help, but when I type an entry into the field, it won't save. I also can't find a new field on the chronoforms table to hold this value, but it may be stored as a new element in the params array; or perhaps there should have been some table alterations when CF v4 RC3.0 was installed/upgraded. Of course it is not clear what the feature does. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks ...

Hi rsearle,

I know about as much as you do. I can see that Max has added 'app' code (including the code to add an 'app' column to the form table which is currently commented out).

My best guess is that the feature wasn't fully complete when he came to release so isn't enabled.

Hi rsearle,

Just as Bob explained, it was not ready when I finalized the new version, I didn't like the idea of altering the core table and thought about creating a new table for "form <> app" relationship (or just add it as a param ?), this will even come more handy when the new Connectivity is ready (hopefully very soon), so I simply left this decision for the new version/year🙂

Happy new year!

Best regards,
Max

OK, that's cool. No harm done, I'm happy to await further developments. Thanks again for all your efforts.
