Paypal, XML-RPC and Registration

Hi,

I've got a project that I believe could be done in ChronoForms and PHP. I'm a bit busy myself right now, so would welcome bids.

The project is for a registration system for two different types of user.

a) Members of the association
These need to have their membership checked via a call using XML-RPC*, then they need to be charged a fee say £10 via Paypal. Once they have passed these two checks they should be registered on the Joomla site for one year.

* This XML-RPC is working on other existing (non-Joomla) systems.

b) Non members
These need to be charged say £20 via Paypal and then registered for a year.

It's acceptable to have two buttons or two forms to cater for members and non-members.

I've copied the Paypal type code from elsewhere on this site and that seems to work fine. I'm assuming that the project will be done in Joomla, preferably 1.5 - legacy mode would be acceptable. I know that Joomla can handle XML-RPC but it has been from the point of view of updating Joomla from PC applications, hopefully it can also call out and receive membership data back.

I can give much more information if someone would want to do this. My budget is around £100.

Regards,
Chris

Hi Chris,

I could take this on for you. I'll drop you an email to discuss.

On one of my sites I use the JContent Subscription extension which has all the subscription and membership functionality you need (and more) built in. It might be more practical to use this and add the XML-RPC check than to start from scratch with ChronoForms.
