I haven't had any luck designing a form so that it produces an email showing that it is from the email address supplied the user filling out the form and copies that same email address supplied by the user and also a designated email address of the administrator of the website?

Post edited by: mborden, at: 2008/01/07 22:46
Hi mborden,
It's hard to understand what you have done from this. Please give us a bit more detail about what you want to do and what you've tried.
Bob
Note: It is not recommended to put a user's email address in the Reply To of the email as your ISP may well not process it.

Sorry. This is what I am wanting...
FORM
Enter Your Name: test
Enter Your Email: test@yahoo.com
[Send Email]
Email Received
From: test@yahoo.com
To: website_administrator@yahoo.com
cc: test@yahoo.com
This way the administrator can hit "reply to" on the email and send an email right to the person who submitted the webform. And the user gets a copy of the email because they are cc'd.
Can I do this in chronoforms?

Hi mborden,
You can do it by hacking the code. I think you'll find the instructions in the forums here.
However, most likely your emails won't be sent. To prevent spam ISPs very often block relayed e-mails where the Reply To address doesn't match the sending domain.
You can put a 'Reply To' link into your emails so that the administrator can click that to reply.
