JavaScript Validation

trevb 22 Nov, 2007
Hi all,

I've been lurking in these groups for sometime now, and have only now found something for which I would be grateful for assistance with.

Essentially I've read the thread is it related to client-side form validation using javascript. I have a problem validating forms in IE 6, 7 and Opera, whereas FF works fine.

Now I've narrowed it down to the template I'm currently using. If I switch to the joomla default template, all works fine. My current template does employ a fair bit of javascript, so I think it's safe to say that the issue is related to the JS in my template.

So my question is fairly simple. Is there any way I can continue to use the built-in form validation function with my current template?

Here's one of my forms:

Any advice or assistance is very much appreciated.

PS: I did buy the link removal, in case anyone wonders why the link was removed.

Hi Trev,

You can if you can comment or delete the lines which load the mootools.js library at your template, please open the template index.php and comment or remove them then see if this solves the problem and your site is working well!🙂

PS: backup any file before you edit!

Thanks!
