I have a form designed that based on the drop down item selected, submits the value to the database for each question answered. I was wondering if there was a way in the email template to sum these fields using a {total} function. If so, what is the syntax.

You can do this in the OnSubmit Before Email box (in CFv3) or a Custom Code action (in CFv4).
