Help needed urgently

kjella 28 Jul, 2011
Hi guys! I am a poor programmer, I have been working for many hours browsing the topics here to find the help I need without bothering you, but in vain.

I am setting up a webshop using Joomla 1.6.5, Joomshopping 3.2.3, and CF 4.0 RC1.9

Problem 1:
The customers/users are obligated to subscribe to deliveries, with these options:
Wednesday every week
Wednesday odd weeks
Wednesday even weeks
This form I've managed to create with radio buttons and save to dB. (Named "abonnemang")

Now I want to creat a form showing the chosen option to the user, and give him/her possibility to change option, by clicking "Edit" to reload "abonnemang" form. I have tried with DB Load records, but nothing shows up in front-end.

Problem 2:
The customers need to be able to make a break in their deliveries (e.g. for vacation).
I have created a from-date-to-date form using datepickers, and it shows in the front-end, but nothing happens when I try to pick a date. Also, it is not possible to change month in the calendar, it only shows current month.

I have studied all the splendid tutorials (thanks a lot!) but they don't cover all issues I need to get correct.

The forms must be connected to the Joomla users (as I understand it, they are by default) but not to JoomShopping, since subscription lists will be handled manually.

Also, I am under time pressure, since I am taking over this business and the former owner will be closing the old web site any day/hour now, and I would like to have a seamless transition of the customers.

Any help will be much appreciated! Thank you! / kjell

Hi kjell,

Please post links to the forms so I can take a quick look.

Hello

Oh man, you're fast! :-)

To see the forms, you need to register here (although some will not show...)

Then click "Mitt konto" in the main menu.

Can I email you backups? /kjell

Hi kjella,

I can’t register - looks like there's an SMTP error on emailing. Maybe a typo on my part but either way I failed. Please PM or email me a working login.

Aaaah...sorry! Since this site still has no domain name, there is no e-mail server configurated. I have confirmed your account manually, now you should be able to login.

Hi kjell,

The Datepicker shows up in Chrome but is partly behind the template - it needs a z-index set in the Form CSS to bring it forward.

The abnu and sparat_uppehall have nothing to display in the front-end so you only get the strap line.

The uppehall and onsdagar forms are not using the DB Record Load action and so will not display any exsiting data.

I would suggest that you don't use the module for multiple forms on the same page. In this case it woud makle more sense to combine both requests into a single form.

Thanks Bob! I'll continue to work on it tomorrow, but I will most likely have to consult you (or somebody else) again. / kjell

PS To what pub do I send the beer voucher?
