ChronoForms 4 conflict with sh404sef

TomX 04 Jul, 2011
Hi,

I'm using the latest version of ChronoForms and the latest version of sh404sef for Joomla 1.6.4.

When I enable sh404sef AND ChronoForms, all of my internal links end up with /index.php?
When I disable ChronoForms (frontend plugin), all links are working fine and sh404sef does a good job.

Is there any chance to fix this problem? Using both, CF and sh404sef is essential for me... too bad 😢

Hi Tomx,

Sounds like an sh404SEF problem to me. ChronoForms does nothing to change URLs on other pages. I have no idea how sh404SEF works since it went paid :-( In the old version you used to have to set it to ignore ChronoForms URLs.

That said there is a known bug in the ChronoForms plug-in when used on the Home page.

Hi Bob,

I tried several things yesterday:

- The frontend module of CF is working fine with sh404sef
- The backend component of CF is also working fine
- Direct linking to a CF form is also working fine

So, just the content pluging does not work with sh404sef.

Doesn't matter if I configure sh404sef to ignore the CF plugin.
I really would like to use the content plugin 😟

Nothing, we can do?

Hi Tomx,

There does seem to be a problem with the way the Plug-in handles URLs but I don't know in any detail what they are or how to fix them other than the suggestion to remove the $mainframe->refresh command. Max may have some idea; if not I'll try to find time to go dig into the code.

Something new?

I would help if I could, but don't know, how... sorry 😟

Can somebody please take a look at it?

Hi Tom,

Max has pre-announced a new release of CFv4 RC2.0 (or RC1.10?) due in the next few days with some fixes in the plug-in code. I don't know what these are so they may or may not fix this problem - hopefully they will.

Hi Tom,

Could you please send me a link to the form and preferably an admin login to your website to check this myself ? please do this through the "Contact Us" page.

Regards,
Max
