Joomla register without captcha, secure?

I have a Joomla registration with an added obligatory Select box (User need to select something) for form to validate

• The form is in a lightbox and don’t appear in the site. You need to click a link to see the registration form

I want to keep this super easy.

The user is auto register and confirm...

Do you see a security problem with this.

but spam bots may also make that selection ?

Question 1: Can they find what link (image or text) bring the forms (lightbox)?

Note: the lightbox (iframe) do not include the template) (just infos)

Question 2: If I insert a captcha, I need something like a math question (ultra simple) can I bring this in the form?


Question 3: If I leave it like this, what should I do to have a more secure form?

Hi,

#1- I'm not sure how the bots work, maybe some bots can find that, maybe not, but your form will be accessible through some url and they may find it anyway.

#2- You can manually code this.

#3- If its a registration form then you may add some kind of confirmation, in this situation I think that you may have an AJAX submitting form, but this feature is not yet ready.
