datetime Box output to field not showing hours, minutes, sec

Hi,

Installation: v.4.0 RC1.7
When clicking on the field in front end, I first get to choose date from the fancy calendar, then time, but when I click OK, then only the date is showing. How can I change the box so that it also shows the time I have just picked? In the e-mail confirmation the time is showing, including seconds, which I don't need.
I want to use the fancy calendar and timePicker, but need the output to show the time as well.

I am a rookie and have not changed anything in the code. Just plain installation and trying to use it.
