Menu for Chronoform

Johang 01 Apr, 2011
I installed V4 for Joomla 1.6. Made with firefox a form for testing. The preview of the form is showing the form. But how do I make a menu-item to open/show the form. When I want to select the menu-item I don't see chronoforms.

Hi Johang,

There's a but in the release - a line missed in the installer. Max posted a fix here earlier today if you check his recent posts.

Hi all,

It looks as though this may have been a bug in Joomla! 1.6 as the new 1.6.1 release includes a fix for the views folder not being set up correctly.

I have the same problem I do not know how to link the menu to the form as their is not a way to do it. How can I show the form in the front end and inside a template? I am using Joomla 1.6.1

When I see the form in the front end view i get an error

The template for this display is not available. Please contact a Site administrator.

Any suggestions on how to present the form in the front end?

thanks in advanced

Hi cmateron,

My guess is that you need to edit the Template settings to include the ChronoForms menu item. They seem to be much more detailed than the settings in Joomla! 1.5

I can see the form with a template but how do I connect the form to the menu. Where in the setting will I do this?

Thanks
Cmateron

Hi Cmateron,

There was a bug either in CFv4 RC1.7 or in Joomla! 1.6 (or both) and the Menu part of the code is missing. Please see the fix here.
