ChronoForm not wrting to jos_user DB

about2flip 30 Mar, 2011
Hi:

I am following a tutorial in the 3.1 cookbook and the ChronoApp How-To PDF on how to use Joomla Registration plugin for a registration form.

I have followed the directions carefully, and checked my spelling carefully as well as the setup. When I hit submit on the form, I don't see no messages, the data is not writing to jos_user table.

UPDATE*

I just discovered that my data is writing to jos_cbe which is a community builder table. I uninstalled community builder, made sure that my form has Joomla Registration plugin selected. If I delete the table, would it start writing to jos_user automatically? or is there something that was changed to make jos_cbe my default.

NEW UPDATE*

Ok, so I deleted every table associated with community builder including where my CF Joomla Registration form was writing jos_cbe. I did a test on my CF form, and the data still isn't going to the jos_users table. HELP! did community builder alter something. How can I make sure that jos_users is my default table.

Thanks for your Help.

PLEASE HELP me decipher what the issue could be.

Thanks in advance.

Hi about2flip,

Please take a Form Backup using the icon in the Forms Manager and post it here (as a zipped file) or PM or email it to me and I'll take a closer look.

I've attached the file...Again appreciate the support.

I uninstalled my joomla and the DB, and started from scratch. It is still not writing to the jo_user db. Ugggg :-(

Never mind. Got it to work. The PDF How-To and the Book does not tell me that I have to turn on the Plugin. Sorry.

Hi about2flip,

I'm sorry they must have missed that in your copy of the book :-(
In mine it's at the top of page 304

Ah look at there. Sorry Bob...It was late night, my eyes were tired, and i was frustrated trying to figure out what was wrong. I'll go stand in the corner with my Dunce Hat now.🙂

B/W: in the PDF How-To, it said to make the country my primary key, but what if I have more than just country, which do i make the primary key. On the second table I have address1, address2, country, state, and later phone number.

Thanks

Hi about2flip,

My apologies, there's a typo in the How-to document

Check the ‘country’ row to select it

should read

Check the ‘cf_user_id’ row to select it
