Why there are two mail template fields?

elektrastudio 04 Feb, 2011
Hello.

Why there are two e-mail template fields in the "email templates" tab in the administration of a form?
If one is for HTML and other is for plain text, don't the second one need to be a plain text editor (no editor buttons).

Can someone explain the meaning of the two fields?
I'm using only the first one.

Thank you.

Hi Jonathan,

There is one template for each Email Setup. If you have two templates then probably there are two greenish-yellow setup boxes on the Email Setups tab.

Hi Bob.

Thank's for the reply, but I'm still a bit confused.
I have attached a screenshot of the screen with the two fields.
Please, explain the function of each field.

By "E-mail setup" do you mean the "Setup E-mails" tab on the forms management? The place where I insert e-mails to receive the forms sent?
If this is correct, and if I have, for example, four e-mails in this setup screen, I should have 4 "e-mail template" fields?

Thank you for your time and patience.

Yes

Yes - though, just for clarity, that would be four yellow-green boxes on the Setup Emails tab, not four email addresses on one setup.

Hi Bob.

Thank you for the fast answer. You have clarified all my doubts.
ChronoForms is a really powerful component.

Best regards.
