when using cf_datetime for a popup calender, it seems that some dates do not show up in a month (I have seen this for May 31, 2010). Also, the calendar does not show Oktober 31, 2009. Can anybody tell me if this is a known issue and what to do to fix this ?

Which version of ChronoForms is this? I can rememeber a thread about a limit at 30 days a long time ago but I can't replicate this in the current ChronoForms release. Both the dates you mention look OK.

I am using Chrono Contact, 3.0STABLE(17.09.2008), (data from extension manager), can this be updated safely ?

Yes but you can't just install the new version over the old one. You'll need to backup all the forms and data; uninstall ChronoForms and reinstall the new version, then restore the forms if needed. There are more detailed instruction in the forums here somewhere.
