joomla 1.5.16 & 1.5.17 forms management error

Hi;

Been trying out Chronoforms and all was well when I was running joomla 1.5.15.
When my hosting vendor suggested I upgrade my instance to joomla 1.5.16, everything on the site seemed to work including the ChronoForm form, but when I went into the administration and tried to launch Components->Chrono Forms->'Forms Management' I got an error with something like:
Call to undefined method SimplePie::force_feed()
Hosting facility indicated another upgrade to 1.5.17 was available, so I tried it and had the same.

Rolling back to joomla 1.5.15 solved the problem.

Running ChronoForms_V3.1_RC5.5.

Anybody else experience similar? Thoughts?

Hmm, turned off the 'Tip of the Day' in Chronoforms parameters, then did the upgrade to joomla 1.5.17 again. Forms Management is still accessible so it looks like something with the way the Tips are being called.

Hi Doug,
It would seem your SimplePie library was not properly updated when you upgraded your joomla installation. The function call causing the error is not from ChronoForms, but from the getXMLParser() method in the JFactory class (libraries/joomla/factory.php).
