Hi delibob,

Please do as the message suggests and check your server logs. This is most probably because you don't have enough memory assigned to your site PHP to complete the installation but it could be here there are permission problems in creating new files or folders.

Your ISP maybe able to help you.

I'm getting pretty much the same error:

500 Internal Server Error: The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log.

I've just installed another extension (e.g. Simple Content Versioning) without a problem, but it is much smaller than ChronoForms. Would it be reasonable to think it is a memory rather than a permissions problem?
If so, do you know how I go about allocating more memory to PHP?
TIA,
Erick

error logs are
[Tue Apr 27 15:00:48 2010] [error] [client 86.146.105.78] File does not exist: /domains/m/o/xxxxxxxxx.co.uk/public_html/favicon.ico

web hosting says there is no problem with memory.
