Hello,
Despite the advantage of the "Joomla Registration" plugin, and all articles and contributions on this topic, I've don't find a clean way to manage a form with a full login/register process.
A test of existing email with the "Joomla Registration" plugin push the user away ( in a login module without auto-comeback)
When the user is already logged, how could I skip the register steep?
My goal is just to have a global form ( or several forms with the multi page plugin)
that allows visitors to register / login / and to complete the form
for all possible initial status ( existing members, not yet member, not connected members)
Perhaps have I skip a tutorial or a great article,
thanks for your feedback and contribution.
Hi soluvente,
I think that this as all possible with ChronoForms.
There is an auto-login option available if that is what you want (I don't really understand your first bullet).
There has been a discussion on skipping registration for already registered visitors recently. This is more difficult with the current plugin.
Bob
The auto login option of the "Joomla register" plugin is one part of the answer, but only for new members.
But if the member already exist, logged or not, I have to push him in to a login module and we lost the current form process ...
Or does the "Joomla register" plugin take care of that?
Hi soluvente,
You could put a custom login module on the same page as the form with the redirect set to keep them on the page?
Bob
An external login module offers just one redirection to a fixed page for all the website,
and don't manage a conditional display of the register fields.
I don't understand how that could be managed with several forms, or perhaps do you think about one specific login module?
Hi soluvente,
I think I'm right in saying that if you go to the Module Manager, select the New icon and create a module of type Login then you can set the ReDirect for that Copy and have it show only on a single page??
Bob
Thanks,
Sorry about this long discussion.
Your module is already a great module;
I like the possibility to add some php code directly
without to dev all that.
Please, just answers NO when necessary,
any of us have to lost his time.
I've read several discussion about this common need,
I'm sure that a paid plugin with this function will be your best seller
Anyway, I'll purchase your module if I choice it for your final solution.
Thanks again for your time.
Hi soluvente,
Sorry, I've have no idea what you are asking now?
I had though the problem was to allow members to Login from the Form page.
You can already add almost any PHP to a ChronoForm. But I don't know what code you want to add?
