Multipage CB Registration problem

moggyg 18 Mar, 2010
Hi,

V 3.1 5.5

tried to follow as many threads as poss to complete the task of registering a new CB user without complete success.

I have two forms and a mother form.

form 1 gathers userdetails e.g. username, email, name, password

form 2 gathers cb_fields data e.g. address, postcode, phone. these are custom CB fields

email results set only on mother form

cb plugin on mother form shows all the required fields and I have entered the form1 and form2 fields
that relate to the required fields

multipage plugin and cb plugin enabled in that order.

problem is;

The user is registered after step one userdetails

the extra data entered at step 2 goes nowhere?

any assistance would be great.

Hi Marco,

I'm not sure that the CB Plugin works with the latest CB release.

I also suggest that you get this working correcly with a single page form first - then go to the multi-page version.

Have just tried it all in a single form and it works, including the custom fields.

?

will look to try a multipage form on its own now

recreated all three forms again and didn't copy one form to the next as I did the first time and it now works,

all required cb fields are populated across the two forms and the user is not created until the second submission.

thanks,

Marco

Hi moggyg,

Great to hear that - well done.

Bob,

my last step would be to auto logon after they go through the registration.

I have added code as highlighted in a few threads to the Extra after onsubmit code of the cb registration plugin of the mother form but doesn;t appear to be working.

Do you, or anyone know if this has been achieved?

thanks.

Hi Marco,

See the current thread with TOTKO who just tested a new beta version of the plugin. That has the same auto-login code as the Joomla Registration plugin. I assume that will work OK unless CB has any special login requirements?

Any chance I could get a copy of beta version also?

Hi Marco,

Sure - but it uses different plugin helper files from the current plugins. Are you using any other ChronoForms plugins on this site? Let me know and I'll make up an appropriate package if I can.

You also need to understand that it's a 'beta' version and may have bugs - thoguh I'll try and fix any that I hear of.

Great, and understand that it is beta.

Only other plugin is the Multi-page plug in.

oh! and image verification? is that a plugin?

Marco

Hi Marco,

That should be OK I think the multi-page is updated to match (and ImageVerification isn't a plugin). I'll try to PM you later today.
