To start with my programming knowledge is minimal to non-existent at best. I can follow the flow a bit, but really... no idea.
I am at my wits end and am ready to give up on this. I am trying to create a form to allow users to sign up for a golfing event used as a fund raising event for non-for-profit museum.
The form is a paid registration that will need to add the price of registration for team or individual, and the cost of how many mulligans they will want.
I have created the form, (its an ugly form cause I don't know how to format it) and I have all the fields I need. I also have a authorize.net account to handle the payment. I need to validate the information in the fields including credit card, send them back to the form if the credit card is bad or invalid. If everything checks out I need to send them to a confirm info and payment page and then at that point submit and pay for the registration, that then sends them to a thank you page, and emails them confirmation of payment.
Also need to have a CC of the email sent to a specific email address to keep track of registration on the museum's end.
Currently the form takes the data, but I don't know how to add the amount of the registration and the mulligans into a "grand total" and submit that. Also it seems in testing mode, that if I use a bogus Credit card number it fails and bills the amount twice(???? wtf here)I have the form going to a confirmation page, but that page is not displaying the submit or back buttons, because of this I am not getting any emails of the registration because I can't "complete" the process. I am sure that I am just a an idiot at this and because I don't know what I am doing I am missing something simple. I can create a form and have that emailed just fine to whomever and whatever. Its adding in the "fluff" that is killing me. Also is there any way of in the URL having it display just an .html page or .php page instead of the whole funky "index.php?option=com_chronocontact&chronoformname=Registration" link?
If anyone here can take mercy on me.. help me out. I am ready to tell the museum its not possible with out them paying someone to do it which they don't have money to do.
