Warning Messages & Form Breaks in my site and can't be seen

webgyrl 08 Mar, 2010
Hello,

I am testing out ChronoForms for possible use on my site and I noticed that I have this warning in my ChronoForms > Forms Management area:

Warning: /home/username/public_html/administrator/cache/9b8ac9887872716cae1ceea4dea3bd58.spc is not writeable in /home/username/public_html/libraries/simplepie/simplepie.php on line 1779

Warning: /home/username/public_html/administrator/cache/9b8ac9887872716cae1ceea4dea3bd58.spc is not writeable in /home/username/public_html/libraries/simplepie/simplepie.php on line 1779

Do I need to CHMOD these files to something to get this to work and take away the warning?

I noticed on doing a test form that the output is completely broken when I view the page.
See image here: http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/2929/formdisappear.jpg

I linked to the form in via a menu item.

I want to be sure this will work on my site before I validate, so any insight on why the forms don't show up would be helpful.

Thanks!

Hi webgyrl,

The error messages caused when the ChronoForms 'Daily HInt' is turned and the site can't connect to get hints. If you can see the ToolBar in the Forms Mananger click the Parameters icon at the right end and turn hints off.

The misplaced html is being rorced below the column on the right.

This coudl be bad html - a broken <div> or a <tr> tag; it could be the height:auto CSS that ChronoForms uses, it could be that some element is too wide for the column.
