No email showing up

KLC 29 Jan, 2010
Been through this forum looking for a solution, cant find one.

Emails shows Enabled 1 Disabled 0

"email the results" on the general tab is set to "yes"

"properties" tab "enabled" is set to yes

the from and to emails are different

I don't have any plugins enabled

I did upgrade from an older version but I backed up my forms, un-installed the old version of chronoforms, installed the newer version and restored my old forms with no errors.

I've built a few joomla websites and two forms in a previous version. I'm no pro but I know my head from a hole in the ground and I'm stuck.

my form code is as follows
<table border="0" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="0" width="100%">
  <tbody>

      <td valign="top">
        Tell us about your situation, and talk to a Bankruptcy Attorney Today!<br>

    </tr>
    <tr>

I am new myself, but I had a similar situation.

Revisit the "Setup mail " portion of your chronoform is the surrounding box red?

it seems that it requires:
1. To or Dynamic To
2. from email or reply email
3. from name
4. subject

It will turn green once the requirements have been met.

Hi KLC,

Looks OK from the form end.

Please turn debug on in the form general tab, submit the form and copy and paste the debug info, including the 'dummy email' here.

Hi KLC,

There's no dummy email and no email mesage so it looks as though the Email is still disabled either on the Form General tab, or the Email Setup Properties box, (or both).

Nope, both of those things are turned on. I've been working on this all day. I've tried using the demo form and still had a bunch of problems. I finally got it to work when I clicked on the link but when I inserted it into a page it would not send an email. I'm also having a bunch of other errors reported in this forum and have done multiple fixes. I came to the conclusion that there was some kind of install issue or conflict. I un-installed and re-installed with no real change. Do I need to un-install the old chronocontact plugin from the older version of chronoforms I was running? Are there any other modules or plugins associated that I should look for? This is an old site I am returing to work on after while and I'm not quite sure everything I've installed.

Hi KLC,

You should have the latest versions of the ChronoForms component, Plugin and Module to be sure that they will work together.

That said the Component is stand alone and should work OK without either the Plugin or Module.

Other than a corrupt installation I can't think of any reason why you would not see the Email Debug message if the Emails are correctly setup and enabled i.e. if you see Enabled:1, Disabled 0 in the Email column of the Forms Mananger.
