Creating an automated email response

alexius 07 Dec, 2009
I am sure this is not too difficult - but I cannot find a tutorial to help me create an automated email response whne someone fills in a form. (I am new at this and not very experienced - so please bare with me!)
After a user fills in his form - I want him to get an email thanking him for filling the form - how do I do this?
Thanks

Hi alexius,

Check the email tutorial for the basics and get an email sending to you.

Then edit the Email Setup and replace the To element with a 'Dynamic To' and put the name of the user email input in there (with no brackets and no quotes).

Thanks for the advice - but my problem is the following and I still do not see how I can do it.

Step 1: User fills in form
Step 2: I receive an email that lists the content of the user form
Step 3: User receives a standard form email - thanking him for filling in the form with some more info I want to send to the user.

All I seem to be able to do is - Either I receive an email with form data - or user receives email - but not both.
Can you help point me in the right direction
Thanks

Hi alexius,

You need two Email Setups, click the envelope icon in the Email Setup tab to create another one.
