I created a form and went in to re-edit it several times without any issues.
But now when I go into re-edit the form, there seems to be some corruption. There is a whole load of code showing at the top of the screen and the form won't let me click on or edit any of the fields. I was trying to get the image verification to work and have loaded no new plugins since the last time that the form was working correctly.
The code at the top of the screen looks like this (this is just a snippet because there are actually 30 lines of this...)
ground-color', {wait: false, duration: 100}).start('E7DFE7','E7DFE7'); }, 'mouseout': function(e) { //new Event(e).stop(); theitem.effect('b.......
I have just created a couple of test forms and the same things is happening with them. I can create a new form but when I go back into it, I find it is somehow disabled, the code is showing and I can't change anything.
Does anyone know how I can correct this?
Thanks
Hi paradox,
The code looks as thought it is a snippet from the ChronoForms Editor script. Hard to know why it's showing up in the page though. Could be a corrupt file, could be a broken <script> tag; could be a JavaScript error in something else.
Is this a new Joomla installation?
Bob
Hi Bob
Yes, I installed Joomla 2 days ago and it's the latest version.
My forms problem is quite strange - I've done these following steps with the main form and also some test forms and the same thing happens with all of them:
1) Create form & save - OK
2) Edit form & save - OK
3) Edit form - not okay, the code shows and the form is "locked" for edit
4) Do something else like write an article or create a new menu
5) Edit form & save - OK
It's like the form gets tired of being edited several times in a row and needs a rest in between. I know this can't be the reason really, but truly that is what it feels like! 😛
Hi paradox,
That really is weird, there's nothing in ChronoForms that 'locks' forms for edit.
If the form is on-line and it's OK with you then please PM or email me a SuperAdmin login and I'll take a quick look.
Bob
Hi paradox,
I'll check my folders in the morning but I thought I was more or less up to date with the ChronoForms ones.
That code looks like something that has been created in MS Word and saved a HTML - it's not anything that ChronoForms created. Perhaps you set up a template and there's a broken or missing tag somewhere??
Bob
Bob - you are absolutely right!
I cut and pasted some info from Word into the "After Form Submission" of the form wizard. I've just deleted it and the form works fine now.
Thanks for your help :-)
