Hi All,

Congratulations on a great component.

I'm putting together a paid magazine subscription form and would like to use PayPal for payment with the redirect plug-in.

However, I'm a bit stumped on how to marry my form fields with paypal's.

Could somebody please give a break down of the steps required to setup this plug-in with PayPal and where to find the names of the fields on the PayPal side?

Do I need to do anything in my PayPal account to receive these payments? I currently a new basic account and haven't done much else with it. (email confirmation etc)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Mat,

You don't need any thing special on the PayPal side.

You should ge a copy of the PayPal docs. (The PayPal Website Payments Integration Guide for example and check the section on HTML variables. There are a lot of variables that you could use but most are optional. You will need to work out which ones you require.

The variables will fall into two groups - those which depend on form input (e.g. the customer name, or the invoice number) and those which are the same for all submissions (e.g. your PayPal account id, the PayPal cmd variable).

Use the top group of inputs on the ReDirect Plugin to match your form fields tp the 'variable' variables and the text area below to match the 'non-variable' variables like cmd=_xclick.
