Little help needed...frontend trouble

cbehan 22 Sep, 2009
I created a form in ChronoForms, then had chronoforms create the corresponding table which is now populated via said form.

That part works great, but I need to allow some of my users the ability to edit the data without explaining the Joomla Administrator to them.

The plan was to have a menu link locked to special users, and only allow authors and above access to delete/edit records, then use the chronoforms for all registered users to enter data.

I created the connection in Connectivity and from the back end, the "Show Data" link does exactly what I'm looking for out of the front end menu item...but when I click on the Connections Manager Link or the Joomla menu item I created for this, I get my frontend template with nothing but a chronoconnectivity link and nothing else.

Obviously I'm doing something wrong.

Here's what I'm talking about: http://bbfarms.com/index.php?option=com_chronoconnectivity&Itemid=147

Can anyone lend a hand? Ideally I would love to allow my "special users" the same view as the backend "Show Data" view so they can view all records and edit specific ones.

Thanks in advance.

Hi cbehan,

The link you posted requries a login so that doesn't help me.

My guess is that you need to set the front-end permissions in ChronoConnectivity to include more members - perhaps the Registered Users group?
